Chelsea Mueller

Chelsea Mueller is the owner and Lead Architect at The Nerdy Architect Inc. located in Chilliwack, BC. She established this practice in 2023. With over 12 years of industry experience, Chelsea has undertaken many projects spanning from community spaces, affordable housing, multi-family residential apartments, commercial offices, and intricately designed pavilions. While originally from Calgary, AB, she has called Chilliwack home since 2018. She is a registered architect in both British Columbia and Alberta.

Beyond her passion for architecture, Chelsea’s also enjoys serving the Chilliwack community as a Rotarian and dabbles in yoga, traveling, experiences beyond the comfort zone, reading (& a good book club), and other creative endeavours such as pottery and painting. She also has a great love for the game of hockey.

Parker Hendsbee

Lead Designer + Project Coordinator

Parker Hendsbee is a Lead Designer and Project Coordinator at The Nerdy Architect Inc. Born and raised in Chilliwack, BC, Parker brings a strong connection to community and a practical approach to design. With 6+ years in this field, Parker works comfortably across many project types and all stages of a project. He is known for staying organized, being easy to collaborate with, and bringing a steady, hands-on approach.  

He has been building since he was old enough to know better than to eat the LEGO pieces. What began as play became a lasting interest in how things are made and how well-designed spaces can naturally support everyday life in thoughtful, practical ways.

Parker is thankful to contribute to work that helps shape welcoming, lasting environments. He brings care and respect to each project and values the opportunity to learn from the communities he works with. 

Joshua Mercado

Lead Designer + Project Coordinator

Joshua is a Lead Designer and Project Coordinator at The Nerdy Architect. He graduated with distinction from BCIT with a degree in Architectural Science, driven by thoughtful design and collaborative problem-solving.

With 6+ years of experience, he has contributed to projects from concept design through construction, coordinating with consultants to support clear documentation, technical accuracy, and well-resolved outcomes. His work has focused primarily on mixed-use residential developments, supportive and transitional housing, and affordable housing initiatives, with additional experience in commercial renovations and institutional projects.

 Born and raised in the Philippines, Joshua brings a diverse perspective to design. He values organized processes, open communication, and design work that makes a meaningful contribution to the communities it serves.

 Outside of work, he enjoys freehand sketching and stylized portrait work. He also serves on his local church’s (NLA) praise and worship team, and stays active through strength training and competitive basketball.
